Oh ROTFLMAO, I think I took that job -- more than once!  One employer actually pointed me at the production floor, waved his hand, and said "There it is, write technically!"

In that instance I took over his "weekly quality meeting" (in which he announced that week's production target and walked out).  We turned it into a full-fledged quality improvement team.  I then created an ISO quality manual, procedures, and work instructions with information supplied by the people who actually did the work.

The company sold this package (with the accompanying production plant) to Thomas & Betts -- who brought in a ten-man documentation team to translate everything into Spanish and move the entire operation to Mexico.  And my job along with everybody else's.

I still take those jobs.  Either I am insane or I really love a challenge.  Maybe I'm not as non-co-dependent as I thought I was -- it is wonderful to know I'm so needed.
