Subject: Re: Writing structured content
What is your supporting data for claiming Information Mapping is
"the most popular implementation of structured writing"?
Or are you merely claiming that the Information Mapping *website*
is the singular most popular implementation? Either way, I don't
buy it.
It should also be noted that the Information Mapping folks do not
like the term "structured writing" or "structured authoring". A Google
search of their domain confirms that they use those phrases a total
of less than 10 times, and none of those instances are in the "quote"
that you attribute to them. This has been pointed out on this list
before, although you may have been posting under your other
identity (Anthony Markos) in that particular case. It's pretty fishy
to attribute an unsubstantiated quote to someone else and then
ridicule it as "ga ga" because it doesn't endorse what you
consider to be the one true methodology for all forms of analysis.
