Take a look at http://livelinx.com/contentmanagement/conditional-text.html -
it's commercial, but you can download a trial version. I did that quite some
time ago, and was quite impressed. We didn't go with the product, finally,
because their VBA API lacked some features we needed badly for the project
in hand - and the client apparently didn't want to pay what seemed like
reasonable development charges for adding those features. I still think this
one's worth a look, though.

Oh, and I probably need to mention that I have no affiliation or connection
whatsoever with LiveLinx, beyond having tried out a trial version of their
software.
