Hi:

The purists among us will vouch that strictly speaking the use of will is
required. Having said that I agree with the participant who opined that its
use in this particular sentence depends on the target audience.

I try and avoid 'will' in technical documentation. However, the given
sentence seems more like a part of a general English composition, therefore
the recommendation.
