Just to add to what Al added to what Fred said (hey, it's Friday! <g>),
don't do that if the PDF originated in a vector graphics tool (like
Illustrator or Corel Draw). You'd be converting a scalable vector
drawing (essentially infinite resolution) into a bitmap (limited
resolution). Bad idea.
