Nitpicky pagination and numbering in Framemaker 7.1
Subject:Nitpicky pagination and numbering in Framemaker 7.1 From:"Hickling, Lisa (TOR)" <lhickling -at- Express-Scripts -dot- com> To:"Techwr-L" <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- techwr-l -dot- com> Date:Mon, 23 Jul 2007 11:44:29 -0400
I'm absolutely stumped and have been looking too long at this book file
to see the solution. So, fellow listers, I'm in for a bit of group
therapy. Here goes...
My name is Lisa and I split the contents of a single logical chapter
over several physical Frame documents which I am hoping to paginate as
follows
Doc 1 - pg 1-12
Doc 2 - pg 13-21
Doc 3 - pg 22-31
Doc 4 - pf 32-47
To accomplish the above for Docs 2-4, I have
* set Pagination to double sided with 1st page side being next
available; and
* selected to delete empty pages before saving and printing.
Page numbering on all documents is also set to continue from previous
page in book. However, instead of the desired results, Frame keeps
numbering my documents as
Doc 1 - pg 1-12
Doc 2 - pg 13-21
Doc 3 - pg 23-31
Doc 4 - pf 33-47
Note that Frame is forcing an odd page number as the first pages of Docs
3 and 4 (presumably because the previous chapter to each ended on an odd
or right page). The major issue is that I need to keep the doublesiding
and split chapter. The question is how to keep the numbering
wysisyg-that is-if last page of previous doc is a right page, first page
of next doc should be a left page. Can anyone please shed some light on
solving this issue? What have I missed?
TIA!
