Pardon me if I'm taking this a little out of context of what your
application really does.

The number of characters does not have as much bearing on the success of a
search string as does
the completeness of a keyword, or the number of keywords used.

For example, *B* will give you billions of hits, while Be, Bea,  Bear,
Beard, Bearde, Bearded, Bearded L,... and so on will get you that much
closer to finding the bearded lady.

If necessary, explain what a key word/term is.
