Hi Mark -

It sounds like you have a lot of applicable experience, so I don't think
you'll find software documentation especially difficult. It's just a
case of finding that first contract. Once you have your first happy
client, that's it--you're an experienced software documentor.

Given your background in education, you might try looking for work on a
SAP installation. I've never done a SAP job myself but they're
advertised quite often here and I've noticed that they nearly always
combine both training and documentation. Your education and P&P
experience might give you a head start.
