John Posada reports: <<About two weeks ago, my boss gave me the
approval to work from home F/T>>

Congrats! I've been doing it for 4+ years now (full-time freelancer),
and wouldn't trade it for the world.

<<I'm working more hours than I ever did>>

That's true here, but because I still haven't learned to say no to
new clients. The other side of the coin is that I work far fewer
weeks per year than when I was a wage slave, and have much more
freedom to schedule my down-time. The trick (do as I say, not as I do
<g>) is to develop a bit of a spine and set hours you can live with.
I'm gradually getting there.

<<I'm must join a gym...the 'fridge is only 2 rooms away and keeps
calling my name.>>

Yeah, I lost 40 minutes of walking to work each day, and it's begun
to show in my waistline despite having a decent home gym and using it
with reasonable frequency.

<<I gotta get me a "comfy" office chair.>>

Me too... even with a pillow, the current one is starting to hurt. It
was fine for a couple hours now and then while I was a wage slave,
but isn't up to 8 hours of steady sitting.

<<I can listen to speakers and not have to use headphones.>>

Cue BTO's "Taking Care of Business"... <g>

<<I'm sitting here in my sweats and tee, in a haze of Padron cigar
smoke, and have a Bass (no, not the fish) within arm's reach.>>

Perhaps a little less Bass during working hours would lead to fewer
working hours? <gdr>
