I can get the numbered chapters to work correctly, but not the Glossary

Nancy,
For archiving purposes so that people can find answers to specific
issues, it would be helpful to split this into two more specific topics:
Microsoft Word Questions - page numbering
Microsoft Word Questions - PDF index links
How is your document assembled? Are your chapters set up as sections?
Same for the Glossary and Index? Look for the simplest answer first,
such as customizing the page numbers for a section.
If all else fails and I have to get a job posted or out the door, I'm
not too proud to put in the page numbers manually on the troublesome
pieces and set the links manually with bookmarks using Word, then just
convert the whole thing into PDF. Manually-set bookmarks usually
convert without difficulty.
I refuse to get fancy with PDF conversions from Word, but that's just
because I'm using a $50 conversion tool and it isn't going to give fancy
results no matter how clever I might be.
