Jan,
If "the Payments application" is an application within an application and
located on a tab, then is it an "application" (Zen doesn't like that term
and neither do I) or a "tab," which is how it is displayed? I think... I've
already said what I think. It may be an "applet" or a "tab," depending on
the context, but I don't know the full context.
In my case of dealing with tabs in a Siebel application, calling the tabs an
application would lead to excessive confusion because the entire (main)
application is managed with tabs. Calling them tabs leads to confusion
because which row of tabs are the focus of the reference? There are at
least two and sometimes three sets of tabs. Siebel has decided to call the
second row of tabs, "applets." I think the first row of tabs are "screens,"
but I'm only working with the applets. Context of the tabs becomes an
important factor here.
