I agree with Will. We are not talking about how qualified you are upon
graduation from High School, but how you present yourself to a potential
employer.
There are a plethora of online job help sites and public and private
employment agencies that offer assistance in writing resumes and cover
letters, or at least with proof reading. You can also visit the local
library, or stop by the local bookshop.
The best excuse I've heard from a applicant for a writing position was
"well, spell check can't catch everything." Yer right about that one bucko.
That's why we proofread 'round these parts.
