RE: Thoughts on an Editing Portfolio

One of my most useful portfolio items is a marked-up physical manual.
It shows that my changes did improve the original without damaging the
technical content, and it gives some insight about the quirky way my
editor's mind works.  I've been told more than once that I was hired
because of that document.
