Interesting question you posed... Some day I would like to pursue this, too.
I think the combination of documentation background and foreign-language
study would help a lot. (Have actually done some of this very informally but
not for money!)
Some ideas:
(1) Is there a "Literacy Volunteers" chapter in your area? If so, you could
request a client who's learning English as a second language. (2) Take a few
ESOL courses in a local college or university. (3) Search online (4) Read a
few ESOL books (5) Do you live in/near colleges or universities with many
foreign students? They may welcome some help with their English - speaking
and writing.
#3 and #4 probably pretty obvious, but what the h. I hope this helps.
