Be aware that if posting to newsgroups rather then email lists, the
precise opposite is the strong preference. Cross-post rather than
multipost. That is because replies then are also crossposted and
everyone can see whether a question has been answered. Also, most
newsreaders are capable of noticing if a message has been crossposted
and will mark it as read in all groups you subscribe to rather than
merely the group you read the message in.
