Always be careful what you ask for.

My father (whose birthday coincidentally is tomorrow) served as a Lt.
J-G in the US Navy during World War II. He and his accounting partner
sharing an office in Charleston, SC were responsible for making sure
that the warm coats got to northern Europe and the insulated canteens
got to North Africa (and not the other way around).

He was Frederick Arthur Troicke and his buddy was Calvin Oliver Wilson.


The Navy does everything with abbreviations and anagrams. Guess what
was painted on their office door?
