Thanks for the clarification. I wasn't sure if my idea would or would
not work, but thought I'd mention it, in case someone else hadn't
already, or you hadn't already tried it. Good to know that it doesn't
quite work. At this point, I haven't had a problem like this, as I
haven't had to have a blank line followed by a line with the Keep With
Next Pgf Tag option.

Good idea, Sam, but it's partially correct and partially wrong. I
already have some text in the autonumber field. So, having text there is
not sufficient and FrameMaker still views the paragraph as "blank." In
fact, even typing a space is not sufficient. If you type a non-breaking
space, however, the Next Pgf Tag is honored.
I did modify some of my tags so that I can type a character and have the
text appear as white. It's not ideal, but it's a workaround.
Thanks for the reply.

Lief,
In this case, how about making the text in the intentionally blank
paragraph white? Particularly effective, I would think, if you inserted
some text in the Autonumber field of the Numbering tab on the Paragraph
Designer. Just make it read something like Intentionally Blank in white
text, just in case it does show up at some point (like during a
highlight all approach). This might provide the needed text requirement
but still leave the paragraph "blank".

This has been my experience, too. I find it terribly annoying because
I've designed my templates specifically with some paragraphs that are
blank.
Typing text into the paragraph makes the next paragraph feature work.
Leaving the paragraph empty simply repeats the current paragraph tag.

I seem to remember a recent discussion that concluded the Next pgf tag
function only works properly when the previous pgf is not empty. Type
some text, then press Enter, and you get the correct Next pgf.
