Hi, everyone. I've been asked (Hi, Pratibha!) to share the details of
the business-analyst programs I've turned up.

Here are the three I've examined a little, so far:

I've always heard that the BU professional courses are excellent, but
most of the courses listed here are two-day intensive courses. When I
see the laundry list of concepts that are to be covered in two days, I
just don't believe that I can absorb that much information (even if it
is all presented brilliantly). The course that meets on 10 Saturdays (in
the flesh, I assume) is the only one I might consider.

This is the Villanova course I mentioned:

I like the look of it and will explore it further. I especially like the
electives -- I think I would take the one on information system
security.

Finally, it turns out HP offers courses:

I would imagine it's good. HP, after all!

I see a lot of businesses (as opposed to universities) offering courses
online, and I don't know what to make of them. I guess I'm old-fashioned
in assuming that courses linked to a university would likely be pretty
good -- while I have no idea how to evaluate online sites like
managementconcepts.com. They might be great, or they might not.

Any thoughts about how to pursue this interest? All suggestions
gratefully received.
