One of the nice things about working in Silicon Valley
is that so many techies have had employers self-destruct
on them that hardly anyone ever questions employment
gaps of under a year.  On the other hand, sometimes
people who have been at the same place for more than
five years get funny looks.  It's always something.

why I wasn't working during these periods and I answer, "I usually don't
work during the holidays.  I like my time-off."  This sort of thing
