I really like the open-source philosophy, and one of my projects right
now is to build Linux From Scratch on an old laptop I have. (Go to http://www.linuxfromscratch.org to learn more about it.) As much as I
love Linux and open-source, there is a lot of software that I need that
only runs on Windows and Mac. For example, what would I do about all of
the proprietary Adobe software that many tech writer jobs require if I
am running Linux?
