This reminds me of one of the 'games' that we played in my Tech Comm program. We had Legos or a similar kind of building system. Each team of 3-5 students took 15 minutes to write instructions on how to build (insert item named by professor). Then the teams traded off instructions and had 20 minutes to use those instructions--without knowing what the other team was describing! At the end we all met and laughed at our constructed messes. Some were far better than others.

It was loads of fun and highly informative. I love team games like this.

Maybe I'm pushing the envelope to post this to the main list, but it
does involve technical communication of sorts. Today, the company I work
for did its version of the Olympics, and one of the events called for a
blindfolded person to assemble a puzzle, with verbal assistance from the
other member of the team, who had a picture of the finished puzzle in
front of them. The first team to get the puzzle assembled was the
winner. Well, t occurred to me that this called for technical
communication under the gun. I confess, everybody else on the team did a
better job than I did, even though I'm the technical writer. I guess I
don't work well under that kind of time pressure.
