Yes, but how many times have we all written about a product the engineers told claimed was X when you later found out was not only un-X but supremely Y with a bit of Z?

Unknown results is real-world.

Hey, that doesn't exactly sound like a fair game. In any real
instructions, you know what the end result is supposed to me, and I
believe it has been shown that it's much harder to follow instructions
without knowing what the final goal is. Requiring the teams to follow
each other's instructions without knowing what the item was to be built
seems artificial and like stacking the deck against everyone.
