When I got one, long ago, the questions included membership in any of a
list of over 100 organizations, with names like, "World Peace and
Freedom League" and "German-American Bund." I think CPUSA was on there, too.

My wife's ex, 3rd of the 16th Field Artillery, had to fill one out, and
it asked if he was a member of any underground organizations. He wrote
in, "National Speleological Society." His CO said, "Very funny. Now do
it over." I've never quite figured out what prompted her to divorce such
a sharp guy.
