Um, I have "caught" more than one acquaintance inflating degrees and
experience on LinkedIn. Self-promotion is one thing, an imaginary doctorate
another. A resume might be considered a semi-private document the
distribution of which is to some degree in one's control. On a site like
LinkedIn, similar details are out there for friends, foes, and potential
competitors to see.
