Actually, Amazon allows you to put in your phone number and talk to a
live person immediately -- no hack required. I've used this feature
several times for work purchases, and it worked fine. Don't other
companies offer this?

How did you find out you could do this? Do they advertise it, or just let their business customers in on it.
