Mac Mail? (- was RE: Shazam! You're a marketing writer!)

I've been using Mac Mail since the version  that came with OS X 10.3  
-- something like 6 years now? -- and never seen this problem. Maybe  
it's something with your ISP? That being said:

My wife loves it. I haven't been motivated to switch from Mail, even  
though there are many small things about it that annoy me. On the  
whole, it works seamlessly <stitch> enough that inertia prevails.

Interestingly, Consumer Reports just gave the Mac laptops a universal  
thumbs up (http://tinyurl.com/cor6qg), particularly over less- 
expensive Windows machines. As I noted in another discussion group,  
however, "...none of the computers got really stellar scores (i.e., in  
the 90% range). Clearly, there's much room for improvement, even on  
the Mac side of the fence." It's also worth noting that Consumer  
Reports doesn't really do a great job of reviewing computers; they're  
overly simplistic and seem to be unaware of many important subtleties.  
But for people who can't handle the geek level in PC Magazine and its  
competitors, CR does a decent job of reviewing the tech.
