The correct printer driver comes with each Acrobat license and is automatically installed by the Acrobat installer. PostScript printer drivers really don't change much except to support new printers. The "Adobe PDF" printer driver matches a specific version of Distiller (the version from the Acrobat suite that also installed the driver), so updating to a newer printer driver is more likely to cause problems than to fix anything.

It's *applications* that need to get updated as bugs and security holes are discovered and fixed. Printer drivers are pretty stable code.
