TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
I college, I took a C++ programming course that had a good textbook
(though I can't remember the title). When using the index, I found the
entry "Adams, Douglas p. 42." There was nothing relevant to Douglas
Adams on page 42, but I loved the joke.

Subject: Docs Easter Eggs spotted in the wild
Found by a friend of a friend buried deep in the otherwise unremarkable
manual for a new loudspeaker:
'Caution - Never connect multiple power amps to one loud-speaker. Doing
so could cause the very fabric of reality to unravel, sending the entire
universe into oblivion. Worse yet, it could destroy your amplifiers and
your loudspeaker.'
Good thing he always reads the instructions carefully, or we could have
been in trouble!
Is it Friday yet?
