Just to clarify for us, Holly -- you're referring to when a style has
the identical name in both template A and template B?

Subject: Question about linking files to templates
Hello all
I have a question about templates in Word 2003.
If files that are linked to one template (with one set of styles A) are
cut and pasted into a document linked to a different template (with a
similar but not identical set of styles B), will the files take on the
styles of the new template (template B) or will they retain the styles
of template A?
For example, if template A has a table style that does NOT have keep
with next and template B has a table style that has keep with next, will
the table style be keep with next when all the files are cut and pasted
into the new document (linked to template B)?
Holly
