Me too.
I was in the grocery store parking lot a couple weeks ago and a
woman's car alarm had started and she couldn't figure out how to turn
it off. To make matters worse, the car wouldn't start, so she couldn't
drive away from the scene. She was quite flustered when I walked over
with the manual from my car (same make/model, different year). We were
able to get it to stop in less than two minutes with the instructions,
much to the relief of everyone in that busy parking lot. It was not
obvious, and the handy instructions were necessary.
I try to be a good neighbor, but I don't think I would have run home
to get a laptop and fired up a DVD to help.
