TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
I think a lot of the marketing poking is just that--poking. There's a
Dilbert style stereotype of marketing just like there's one (sorry, 1)
for tech writers. Let's give posters some credit for a sense of humor
instead of assuming they have bad attitudes.

I just love this list's binary application of venom around marketing.
Yes, they use buzzwords like crazy and innocently ask for the
impossible. I'm sure they look at us and wonder how tech writers can
be so damn rigid in how we work, or why everything we do takes all
that unbearable planning! ;)
In the end, it's symbiotic relationship. We help build products that
they then market to the masses, which sales then offloads in exchange
for money that goes back into all of our pockets for a job well done.
