You might want to look at www.sourceforge.net for all sorts of free tools.
Downside: You'll have to search, select a few, and compare them. Also some
features might be missing.
Upside: No cost :), you'll have the source code so can add (or get added)
missing features. Also in future if needs change then scalability as well as
a community support won't be a problem.
