Try this:

1. Create a new drawing with all of the Snap & Glue settings cleared.
2. Save the drawing as a template.
3. Use that template to create any new drawing where you want the
objects to stay put (regardless of which stencil you pull them from).

For my own purposes, I *need* Snap & Glue. But another user might not
need them, and the instructions above should do the trick.
