I have to wonder exactly what they mean by "roustabout." There's two jobs by that name. One is a laborer in an old time canvas circus, the other is a laborer in an oil field, someone who connects and services producing oil wells. I've been latter, and it sucks. I'm willing to believe both versions suck.
Being a roustabout does have one great psychological advantage over office work. Out in the oil field, when things reach the point where you believe that a piece of equipment or a coworker needs to be belabored with a 2 by 4, other people understand that.
