I think that as long as there's a brand, team, or sport out there to
which you've not yet been exposed, there's always a chance that you
could start being loyal or a fan.

And then there are conditions. I know someone who never displayed any
interest in pro sports until she retired; she now follows pro ball
(Blue Jays fan).

Go figure.
