I think the single most important thing I've learned over the years is the importance of occasionally (for me, at least once or twice each hour) getting up out of my chair, walking around for 5-10 minutes and looking at something farther away than a monitor (preferably out a window). Having either your body or your eyes in one place for too long is a bad thing.
