Are you kidding? Your PM can't see the verb disagreement in "The
application stops the ... service when the ... limit was exceeded"?
It's hard to say without seeing the sentence in context, but I'd
probably use the first conditional: "If the ________ exceeds the
________ spool limit, the application stops the Windows Installer
service."
