I'm betting that if you provide fresh offerings of Preferred Rabbit Delicacies (alfalfa? carrots?) and water in the trap every day for a week, eventually the buffet will be too tempting to ignore and Bugs will step in for a treat.

Since you'll only be transferring him to the other side of the fence, I suspect you'll be successful, unless he becomes grimly determined to get back to his personal Garden of Eden.

(I have a problem with people trapping pest animals and compassionately driving them 10 miles away and dumping them on . . . somebody else's property! but you're not doing that.)

Have fun. Thanks for the laugh. You'll wipe the sneer off his face sooner or later.
