I have mentioned John Hewitt's blog "PoeWar" before, since it is a
good source for technical writing job listings to add to the ones you
might otherwise be checking. His latest post:

As the name suggests, it is a good but brief analysis of the need for
tech docs in a bad economy, as people with experience and knowledge of
systems are laid off as the business contracts. He focuses here on
call centers, but it obviously applies to just about any business
relying upon technology.

This is one of the blogs I have in my RSS reader, and I suggest you do
the same--especially if you are more active in the TW biz than I am
these days...
