All,

Is this possible in Illustrator?

Imagine drawing a computer and several peripheral items,
like monitor, keyboard, mouse, printer, USB cup-warmer...

Draw curvy lines between the proper points (ports) on
each device to the proper place on the computer, representing
the connection cables.

[Do magic here]

Drag any of the devices or the computer on your page,
and any connecting lines (cables) redraw themselves
so that they remain connected to the computer port
and to the device.

This - if it existed - would be the grown-up version
of drawing action and decision boxes in a flow-charting
program, then dragging the boxes around and the connections
remain connected (the lines being re-drawn/re-routed
automatically as needed).

My sadly limited Google-fu brings up all sorts of references
to end-points and handles and adding text along a curved path,
and other stuff, but nothing about what I want... which is a
way to save my labor when I reposition cable-connected
elements in an illustration.

Not a big deal, just "wouldn't it be handy if...?"

Most likely it doesn't exist, but quite possibly I
merely need to think in different keywords. Hm? Hm?
