FrameMaker 8.0 question, folks (Windows XP on a pc platform)
Though it goes against my better judgement, a decision has been made that we
shall henceforth embed our images and not reference them.
So the questionis how to quickly and efficiently convert referenced images into
embedded images across a file or even across an entire book?
Part of this is because one of our team members oftentimes takes work home on
his laptop and returns the next day with an updated FrameMaker file; to
accomodate him, we archive the file(s) he needs from the network (where all our
data files reside); Bruce Foster's "archive" utility is simply great.
Plus, we now will be sending FrameMaker files to the "writers" at our home
office in China who are totally baffled by anything other than Word (and even
that gets past them sometimes, too). So an archived folder of FrameMaker files
with images in separate subfolders is asking for trouble.
So again, is there a built-in feature or plug-in that does this? (Yes, I've
Googled, but so far have been unsuccessful.)
