I had planned to start with precisely that, the poor man's CMS and have us
work on separate FrameMaker books to reduce conflicts. FrameMaker marks
files locked when they are opened which I know can be overridden.

Since Murphy's Law prevails, I will make backups on an external drive in
case we clobber each other's files.

I will have to check but I thought it does not handle FrameMaker files.

Surely this has been addressed before. I will search FrameMaker resources. I
just happened to catch the thread here.
