I had a ball chair that I used for 6-7 years switching off with my old, broken down office chair. The only problems I had with it were my butt got really sore after sitting for several hours. My desk had a nice keyboard tray, so the chair height was not a problem. Sold the ball chair when we moved this past winter.

Looking for a new chair, I went to Office Max and purchased a mesh back task chair with tons of adjustments--seat angle, back angle, lift, and back height. Although I really wanted an Herman Miller Aeron chair which is the most comfortable chair I've ever sat in, the Office Max chair was 1/3 the price and it's holding up well. May be one of these days the Herman Miller will show up in my office.
