Re: Laid Off
Small world. They got me on Friday.
No matter how good you make someone's docs. if they can't find a way to keep their company from flopping it's all over.
WRT the unemployment "base period," What's generally required is 18 month of employment since the last time you collected benefits. In CA, where I live, if you were with your most recent employer for less than 18 months, then they add in expand the range of tracked income to the employer before that to calculate your income base period. Just fill out the application and let them tell you that you're not eligible. Don't second guess yourself.

Well, I suppose writers are some of the first to go. I was laid off at the end of the day Thursday due to fiscal reasons. I would appreciate it if anyone could connect me with anyone who may be able to help me in my search or if you would be so generous as to share any leads. I am located in Pittsburgh, PA. Relocating is not an option at this time.
Thank you,
Robin
