By "central template document," I assume you mean a standard *.dotx or
*.dotm template. In that case, the ancient Word Templates & Add-Ins
dialog box still works just fine. Alt+T, I brings up the dialog box.
Make sure that "automatically update document styles" is selected for
each document.

40) to a central template document so that if changes are made to the
template document, the changes are automatically reflect in the document
without having to import the new template changes individually into each
