Or as an unnecessary evil. SME 'A' told me, "Sorry, I cannot help you. I'm not on that project any more. You'll have to go to SME 'B'." So I went to 'B' (totally new to the project), who began by quoting to me from the existing documentation that I was supposed to rewrite.

The message? "Please go away. Documentation is unnecessary."

The ultimate judgment? Company out of business. Documentation unnecessary.
