Depends on your objectives, the output you need, and the skills you have available.

It's quite possible those two exporters would be a better option for someone starting from scratch. I haven't tried the PDF or ePub exporters, so I can't comment on them, but I can see how a good, clean means for exporting those two outputs, while still being able to provide a documentation wiki, could make a pretty capable package.

We started using DocBook well before we started using Confluence, so we already had a well-tested DocBook toolchain in place. And I'm comfortable doing production, especially print production, with DocBook. Without those two factors, plus a need for high-quality print production, I could see us using something like those two exporters.
