Emoto complained about "Stupid MS Word 2010 Tricks"
"I have a document with Heading 1 being used in a normal way. In my page
footer, I insert a field that is a StyleRef to Heading 1. The result should
be that the text of Heading 1 is reproduced in my header, but no, ....
Instead of: Product Compliance Matrix, I get: 2BProduct Compliance Matrix
The one before has 1Bnnnn and the one after has 3Bnnn, etc."
I think you have an inserted page number field where you want your heading
refs to appear. Go to the Tools> Options> View tab and look for the Field
shading setting. Set it to Always. This makes hidden fields appear with
shading so you can see them. Then go back to your footer and see if there is
a small shaded 2-character field (probably with #B) where you are getting
the numbers. Delete the field and your problem should go away.
