Hi all,

I'm a university faculty member, and my university does not pay for any of
my professional memberships. I would like to join STC, but the cost and
out-of-pocket expense has prevented me and my husband, a faculty member at
another university, from joining.

If I only had to belong to STC, I would definitely join--but I'm expected
to/want to join and pay for other professional memberships (National
Council for Teachers of English, Association for Teachers of Technical
Writing, American Medical Writers Association, Association for Business
Communication, etc.). STC is one of the more expensive organizations,
which is why I have yet to join.

FWIT,
Liz
