In my opinion, the test assignment should be in the context of what the job
is. For example, our writers write software user documentation for Windows
products. So our test for a writer candidate is to document how to use the
standard print dialog on Windows. We also have an editing test since we
perform peer editing, again something about software since that's our
business.
